As newer more feature rich cellular phones come out in the marketplace, this will create a wider gap between technically challenged users and the technology wizards. The Personal Tracker GlobalSat is a unique product that maybe suitable for the technology challenged users.

The TR-101 will allow those that need the ability to call home or a couple of numbers only can do so easily and without a learning curve. Anyone can learn its function within minutes.

The TR-101 comes with the ability to call 3 phone numbers and also send a SMS message in an emergency to 3 numbers. The phone also supports incoming calls from up to 10 different phone numbers.

The unit does have one major feature missing that traditional phones have and that is a dialing number pad. This prevents anyone from placing unauthorized calls but also makes the control buttons easier to access.

Compared to some of the newer cellular phones, the TR-101 is slightly thicker and heavier. This being said though, the TR-101 boosts one major feature that cellular phones lack. The TR-101 comes with a built in GPS unit. Global Positioning System. This makes it a great feature for those that travel often in to areas that could pose a hazard. Like camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. In an emergency, your location coordinates can be send via SMS to the phone numbers registered on the phone.

The GPS allows you to send location details with the press of one button to 3 different phone numbers. Registered callers can also send a SMS message and receive a response back with the units location.

Since the GPS is like most GPS units out on the market for consumer use, the unit must be situated outdoors within view of at least 3 satellites for the location details to be sent. Otherwise a message of no location details will appear in the SMS message.
