Wassup! Today – I did a Versus POST on March 24th. I did not know at the time when the Versus post was written that the account I created on last.fm was FREE for a limited time only. I received a message about 30 days afterwards that I only have 30 songs left before the trial expires. The service would like to charge me $3.00 USD per month to continue using their services. I am not crazy about paying any price for what they offer. I will use other services like what iTunes and other sites offer which are 100% FREE for the unforeseeable future.
Wassup! Today -LAST.FM vs. THERADIO.
During the last couple of months I have enjoyed www.theradio.com. The ability to just go to the URL and have my favorite station play automatically is really sweet. Recently though, I have noticed advertising popping up as soon as I go to the website and after 6+ songs. Not so cool anymore when the flow of music is interrupted with a 15 second commercial.
Wassup! Today – LAST.FM
So what is last.fm?
Well last.fm is another online music site. There are plenty of them around but last.fm has some atrributes that make it stand out. I have never been a fan of FREE sites that expect you to sign up to access the features even though it maybe a simple and quick process. I have too many accounts with a unique login name and password already therefore I kringe when a site asks me to register.
Anyways, I had to try last.fm just to see what makes them tick for Digital Music Fridays. Here is a short list of what I like about last.fm.
