Quick Look: Warfare Incorporated From Spiffcode

This is one game that really intrigued me when I first tried it a couple of years ago on the i-Mate Jasjar. The Windows Mobile version has great graphics and a complex gaming artificial intelligence. Warfare Incorporated is a RTS realtime strategy game similar to the old Sim City and Sim Earth type of games in which you must built your community over time. The difference is that elements of a war game like Command and Conquer have been added.

The beauty of Warfare Incorporated is that you have the ability to connect wirelessly to multiple players (2 -- 4 on Windows Mobile devices) and battle against each other. Playing alone against the computer is a real challenge in itself too. The objective is to take complete control of a planet called Icarus for its resource acquisition. You are given a building used as the head quarters, a power generator, a Galaxite processor, and a warehouse. You must increase the production and land aquisition by:

1:  Adding mineral collecting crafts.

2: Adding foot soldiers

3: Adding tanks

4: Adding more buildings like a power generating station, Galaxite processor, or warehouse.

You must collect the resources and procees them in order to create more buildings to handle the whole process on convenient locations to minimize the transportation and collection times. The foot soldiers and tanks are also necessary to protect your investment while you expand. It is a delicate balance between, collection, processing, defending and attacking your enemy.

If you are the type that enjoys receiving an immediate response for every action you take, Warfare Incorporated is one of those games that will certainly please you. The only negative I have is the price of the Windows Mobile version and the Palm version is $19.99 while the iPhone version is only $4.99. Though the iPhone version does not support multi wireless players at this time, the version that does support wireless on the iPhone is already in beta.
