Photo of the Day: 

I had the opportunity last year to take a tour of a Canadian Friget in Toronto. The military band was playing on the docks and I captured this image of just the tuba section.

It is hard to spot but you can actually see the other band members reflected in the bowl of the smaller tuba. The naval officiers are all wearing white. The picture was taken using a FujiFilm S6000 fd point and shoot camera.

Black and White Photography 

We have become so comfortable with color photography that we sometimes lose sight of how wonderous black and white photography can be. I would like to share some of the great black and white photos presented by Smashing Magazine.
